  1. Very interesting post. It is eye opening to see that the education system in the UK is in as bad shape as it is here in Canada. It is exciting to see someone doing something proactive about it. I look forward to following your blog over time.

    Thanks for the great post.

  2. We seem to have the same issues here in the US. So much education that needs to be covered but such small budgets when it comes to textbooks and teachers. Math was my favorite subject in school! Thank you for sharing your insights and focusing on the need for children to have the ability to receive a better education.

  3. As the admin of this site is working, no hesitation very quickly it will be famous, due to
    its quality contents.

    • Thank you for your kind comments. As a German, what do you see as the main points in German Education ?

  4. It seems as if the problem with funds to support our children’s education is universal.
As a retired teacher, I know what it means to spend some of the little I earned to enhance my students’ education.
Parents need to prioritize and put their children’s education high on the list.
    Thanks for sharing.

  5. Graham, you have to ask yourself at times, where does all the money go? Harping back to the Brexit vote ll those months ago now, the Out team were promising days of milk and honey as soon as we left the EU and people bought in and voted that option (along with a number of other impossible promises from Day 1) although the truth, as we now know, is nothing like the promises.

The extra costs of leaving the EU will squeeze every part of society, except for the politicians wages, and make this worse as we move forward with our children in education.

My wife and I always made sure our kids had all they needed to ensure the best chances for them moving forward, even paying for tutors in subjects that they found difficult so I suppose we were lucky enough to be able to afford these costs.

Many people say that education is a level playing field, but that is another lie put about by people who either don’t know or don’t care. The more money you have, the better education you can buy/get for your children as with everything in life. There will always be those who prosper even without the financial backing of parents, but I do wonder, if the opportunities were there for everyone of even of just providing the basic needs, how much better off we’d be as a country?

    • Thank you Dave, it is true that mum and dad will have to step in far more than in the past. I absolutely agree that if we develop the talents of all, we would be far better off.
